Shahrukh Khan gets honored by Hollywood as his wax statue is to be unveiled at Los Angeles

Bollywood’s megastar………’The King Khan’……….’Badshah of Bollywood’……..Shahrukh Khan is to get a rare recognition from Hollywood on 28th January, 2010 (Thursday). SRK, as he is abbreviated, has for nearly 2 decades entranced all his fans with his incredible performances in scores of super hit films including ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ (DDLJ) that ran for 10 years in a Mumbai theatre.

The actor is renowned for his romantically inclined on-screen side, as he has over 20 years of his career, romanced with women in a way no man has ever done before. He has formed hit on-screen pairs with former Miss India Juhi Chawla and a brilliant brunette Kajol with whom SRK has furnished several mushy rom-coms such as ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khusi Kabhi Gam’, ‘DDLJ’ and a handful others.

SRK has not only transformed the face of Indian cinema but also has taken Bollywood to western continents and has created his own legion of female following who range from African to American.

.Recognising his unfathomable contribution, Hollywood will be bestowing honour on the superstar as his wax statue is to be unveiled at Los Angeles’ new Madame Tussauds museum today (28th January). The wax-replica cost nearly $300,000 to make.

Shahrukh’s upcoming offering ‘My Name is Khan’ will see him pair up with Kajol once again after nearly 8 years and the film has, already, created quite a buzz. It would hit theatres worldwide on 12th February, 2010 in the week of Valentine and nothing would be a better date with your valentine than catching up on this romantic caper.
